Question on Domain Delegation Configuration Changes in AJO

Avatar

Hello Adobe Community,

I have a question regarding the domain delegation setup in Adobe Journey Optimizer. I noticed a change in the types of DNS records required for configuring a domain delegation. Previously, as per the tutorial video found in Adobe documentation (https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/journey-optimizer-learn/tutorials/configuration/channel-c...), only some CNAME records and one TXT record were shown. However, I now see A records included as well. Could someone clarify why there has been this addition of A type records to the delegation setup? Is this a new requirement?

Thank you for your assistance.

Regards,

Diego P.

Hi @DiegoPa6 ,

If it's the first subdomain delegated on the instance, you always have the A records (The number of A records are the IPs address and the format is rYYY.<subdomain> with your IP as XX.XX.XX.YYY).

For the subsequent subdomain delegation, the A records are not included in the DNS records file.

Thanks,

David
