Is it possible to use Event data while creating eligibility rules in AJO

Hello,

I have created a rule that checks if a customer has not purchased a product with SKU number 123. This SKU is present in the event dataset associated with a customer's profile. I used this eligibility rule to make an offer decision. However, when I create an email campaign and use this offer decision, I don't see any results, even when the customer doesn't have SKU number 123 in the event data.

After reading the Adobe documentation at this link: Adobe Documentation, I discovered that event-based offers are not supported in Journey Optimizer. If a decision rule is based on an event, it cannot be used for creating an offer.

My question is, if this feature doesn't work, why is it still available for creating rules? Adobe should disable events if they are not functional. I just want to confirm if I am missing something here.

Regards,

Arpan
