DTM: Addtional Domains--Max 255 characters Error Message. Any workaround?

Avatar

Level 2

We are an events B2B company that utilizes about 50 domains that are similar in structure. Since they are similar, a single DTM web property is desired.

Setting up the DTM property, within the "Additional Domains" box, I supplied all 50 subdomains.

Getting an error Message and can't save them: "Too Long (Max 255 characters)"  **see attached screenshot

Is there a way around this issue? I don't want to set up 50  individual DTM properties that are very similar  in structure. Surely as DTM is an enterprise level product, a limit like this wouldn't be imposed.

HELP!

Thanks

Hi Sloan,

From what I can see you've added all sub domains together.

You'll need to add each subdomain separately. (Use the 'Add' button next to the URL)

Please note that this is not the same as making 50 distinct web properties for the same.

Let me know if this clarifies things
