Web SDK for Analytics and Edge Network Server API For Target?

Is it possible to deploy data collection / analytics using the Web SDK (client side) while deploying Target through the Edge Network Server API? Would this break A4T? (i.e. do both data collection + ECID assignment and Target calls all need to fire together on client side/server side unanimously for A4T to function?)

Are there any other risks or considerations for a split (WebSDK + Edge Network Server API) approach?

I haven't try this use case however I can see there is way to achieve Personalisation using hybrid approach.
