Recommend categories with categories urls based on current category

Is there any example or reference url to recommend categories instead of products. what all steps required to implement this.

@ravipatidar  I don't think it's possible to recommend a category which is appropriate because we want to recommend an entity at its granular level whereas a category would be a pool of items to choose from.
