Question about Mandatory Columns in Adobe Target Model CSV in Feeds for Recommendations

Hello Adobe Community,

I’ve been working with Adobe Target recommendations and recently edited the model CSV guide according to my needs. I initially removed some columns that I thought were unnecessary, but when I tried to upload the modified CSV, the upload failed.

Later, I uploaded a new file that included all columns, even those I had removed, and it processed successfully within five minutes.

Could someone clarify which columns in the model CSV are mandatory for uploading the feeds? I’d like to understand why these columns are required, as I would prefer not to retain unnecessary columns.

Thank you for your help!

Hey @vishnupriya98

Here are the mandatory columns required in the model CSV:

ID (Product ID), Name/URL, Category, Status & Last Updated.

Upload might have failed because when you removed some columns, you likely omitted one or more of the mandatory columns that adobe target required to serve recommendations.

The above mentioned mandatory columns are the foundation of how Adobe Target recognizes and recommends products.

These columns are necessary because Adobe Target uses them to classify products, identify them, and provide users with relevant suggestions depending on inventory.

Hope this helps
