New UI - Toggle being removed June 22

Avatar

Hi,

As has been widely commented on here, the new UI has several significant issues that delay/block business as usual activity. These issues are not only happening to us but also to our Adobe technical consulting team.

Having the toggle to allow us to revert back has somewhat lessened the impact, but I understand this is going to be removed on June 22nd - regardless of whether the issues are resolved or not. Several of our key initiatives are going to be blocked or severely hampered if this does happen.

Please can the toggle be kept in place until there is confidence across the community that the new UI is fit for purpose?

Hi @chris-luckett Ideally this should not happen.

if you're seeing this is risk and impacting to your business widely then I would suggest to get raised this with Adobe support team with P1 priority so adobe team will address quickly.

Also there is another way which Adobe team showed me -

Once you login to Adobe target system, open the activity and on the top right hand side you can see the question mark icon -click there and then click on Feedback tab, and please address all your issues here with screenshot. ( please refer below screenshot) . This goes directly to AT Engineering team.

Hi @chris-luckett  Understand your concerns and completely agreed with your point however Adobe is firm to deploy all fixes before 22nd June.

Recently I've had raised a P1 ticket (critical to Production) due to issues with new UI and got connected with Adobe support team, as per their recommendation is to use the old UI until at least 22nd June.

Also need to mentioned one important point here - Activities edited in the new UI can not be accessed in the old UI. However, activities created in the old UI remain accessible in both versions.

I can say likewise and in case if you see any issues after 22nd June, please raise a support ticket with priority.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Hi Gokul,

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately we have identified examples of activities created in the old UI that are not accessible in the new UI.

This is my largest concern with only 5 working days to go before the toggle is removed. If necessary, and with enough time, we can manually copy modifications and code from activities built in the old UI to brand new activities in the new UI, but if the toggle is removed we no longer have this option and may have to completely rebuild activities at significant cost & time.

Thanks
