Adobe Target Recommendations Feed - FTP or SFTP?

Is it mandatory to use FTP for giving the product data feeds to Adobe Target?

I'm using the documentation mentioned in the below link, but it doesn't clearly call this out. I'm trying to supply the feed from a SFTP, but getting an error saying invalid user credentials.

    Hi niranjansane​,

    It is not mandatory to use FTP for the product feed upload to Target. You can use FTP or FTP with SSL (ftps). You can also host the feed file on a web server and point Target to the locations (the URL option).
