Hi Guys,
What are the drawbacks or disadvantages of using Auto-allocate?
I feel that pushing more traffic to a single experience only after 1000 visitors and 50 conversion is very small for some high traffic websites. I am also not sure how the algorithm works to decide a better performing experience so early into the experience with so little data.
Please share if you have the same concerns or correct me if I am wrong.
Regards,
Suchindra

@s_kala,
Here is a summary of that KB article.
Fundamental difference:
A/B Activity without auto-allocate: Winner is determined by comparing the control experience to all other experience. IE: In a scenario where you have three Experiences: A, B, C without auto allocate the following comparisons will be made: A vs B & A vs C.
Activity with auto-allocate: Winner is determined by comparing every experience with every other experience. IE: In a scenario where you have three Experiences: A, B, C with auto allocate the following comparisons will be made: A vs B & A vs C & B vs C.
Advantage:
Auto-Allocate performs all implicit comparisons across experiences and produces a "true" winner. There is no notion of a "control" experience in the test.
Disadvantage:
Doesn't support A4T (Analytics for Target)
Hope this helps!

Hi suchindra, If you haven't had a chance to come across the auto-allocate documentation yet, I would suggest starting there.
This has information on when to Use Auto-Allocate versus A/B or Automated Personalization , benefits as well information on how the algorithm works.
Hope this helps.
