webcamPublisher replace camera stream with regular video

Hello!

I´m trying to share short videos (in fact, movieclips) with the webcam publisher component. In my app we want to present an intro that explains what the conversation will be about and then in the end, put the credits from the people who just spoke. Is that possible?

Hi,

The WebcamPublisher/Subscriber currently only does sharing of live streams and you cannot record stream and play the flv back. Recording/Playback will be sometime in future.

So, as long as you are sharing the intro and the credits live it's ok.

So, basically that mean´s no...

but I found another way!

I have the videos setup in final cut express in one Mac, then I output those videos as firewire streams to a video mixer and from there back to the main Computer. Its kind of a big workaround but works...
