Submit form button help !

I am wanting to create an interactive PDF in

Livecycle where i have an email submit button that

a) automatically submits the form (to my specificed email address) upon the user selecting

'submit'  to my Outlook inbox

b) that sends me the response in PDF format rather than in XML format.

Can this be done?

Just add a regular button.

Make it of type Submit.

Then, in the Submit tab, specify the targetUrl to a mailto protocol (ex. mailto:myemail@adobe.com?Subject=Hello) and select PDF as the data you want to submit.

You will also have to Reader Extend the form to allow a local save (the email submit creates the PDF locally before addinng it to the email). You can Reader Extend the form in Acrobat to get this functionality.
