What about pricing plans?

Maybe it is too early to talk about costs but It will be nice
to know how can we fit in cocomo in our business plans.

Hi,

For the public beta, we do provide generous usage limits, and
though we do not have a pricing plan to share with you, we are
using this beta period to understand the type of applications that
you are planning to build and how you intend to leverage Cocomo.
This information will certainly help us refine our business model
so that we can provide pricing that make sense economically for you
and other developers. Let me know if you are available to talk
further.

We will post more information on this as we have it, so
please visit our Labs forums and
blog frequently for
futures announcements. Alternatively you can subscribe to the forum
and blog via the RSS feed to stay in touch.

Thanks,

Fang

In the release notes for .91 afcs it states discussion on
pricing and business model next. As this is probably a big concern
to probably everyone evaluating it now, and if its viable to
continue using this service or not, I would hope to start the
discussion sooner than later.

I hope there will be some sort of extended trial period or an
educational account since my work for university (testing of
collaborative brainstorming and mindmapping including
self-organizing maps) totally depends on cocomo. Maybe you could
provide access to cocomo for free at reduced
bandwidth/functionality (e.g. no streaming contents, maximum number
of peers and so on).

Yes, the plan is to keep offering a free version with limited
capacity for developer testing and not commercial use.
