NO PREVIEW OPTION (GREYED OUT) FOLLOWING UPDATE

Hi guys got sully updated livecycle running with master cs4 set

ran the updates and now cant preview dynamic forms inside livecycle. this happened once before an i would up doing a reinstall (much pain in behind) surely there is a better way

also have adobe reader 9 installed but acrobat/livecycle is the default so that wont be it

anyone else hit this nonsense ? any cleaner than reinstall?

For the preview you need to have Acrobat PRO on your machine. If you have Acrobat on your machine, then goto windows Task manager kill the Acrobat Reader (AcroRd32.exe).. Then open the Acrobat PRO on your machine. Then test the Preview option in your LiveCycle Designer.

Tried ticking/unticking preview in internet explorer, tried setting filetypes back to reader, read the above links, no solution as of yet.

This problem seemed to come out of nowhere. Why is there no fix for it yet?

Hi,

i got this issue too a while ago. in my case it either showed up due to an update gone wrong or  due to updating to reader 9.3 (i think).

I had to reinstall acrobat to get a preview i'm afraid.
