Multiple Master Pages - How to setup next page

Hi All,

We are designing a adobe form in Life Cycle designer.

We have three master pages (say MPage1, MPage2 & Mpage3)

And we have one Body page(subform\Page) in which we have table who's data is getting displayed over 5 to 10 Pages.

Now for this boy page (Bpage1) in the "Pagigation" tab we have set content area of MPage1 and for overflow content area of MPage2.

What we need now is first page should be MPage1 and 2nd page should be Mpage2 - (this is working fine as well)

After that we need 3rd page as MPage3 and 4th page as MPage2 and so on.

That means after first page, we need Page 2 & 3 should be repeated one after the other.

Like - MPage1-- MPage2 -- Mpage3 -- MPage2 -- Mpage3 -- MPage2 -- Mpage3 -- MPage2 -- Mpage3

We believe, on the table, on some event, through Java coding we need to change "Overflow Page" setting depending on current page number.

So how to set, which page should be used as nextoverflow page.

Kindly suggest.

Regards,

Amit

Hi,

you don't any script to get this work.

You can define the order of master pages by changing the settings for the master pages set.

Here's an example.

Hi,

Thank you very much for quick reply, yes exactly this is what we need in the output.

But the question is, how to "define the order of master pages by changing the settings for the master pages set".

I checked all the available option in the Palette for Master page as well as Body Page.

For example - on Master Pages -- Printing - 'Print on both sides'\'Page Occurrence'.

then on MPage1 -- Odd/Even & Placement.

What setting did you used.

Also if we have 3 master pages and data in the table is only of 2 pages then 3rd blank page should not be created.

Hi,

master pages belong to a page set, which has a printing setting.

Default is "Page Occurence". Change it to "Print on Both Sides".

MPSet_1.png

Then you can set the Pagination for each master page in the page set individually.

Master Page 1: Odd Pages and only the first Page

MPSet_2.png

Master Page 2: All even pages

MPSet_3.png

Master Page 3: All other odd pages

Thank you once again Radzmar,

With reference to your last screen shot, on the pagigation tab of 'Page' (ie Body Page) we have selected below options

Place: On Page "MP1"

After: Go To Page "MP2"

Overflow: None

Is this correct way of doing or is there any other better way ?

Also, now if the form data is of 6 or 8 or 10 pages (Even Pages) it is working as expected.

But if the form data is 3 or 5 or 7 pages (Odd pages) then at last it is adding one blank page.

How can we avoid this extra \ unwanted blank page.

Amit

Hi,

You don't need to change the pagination of the body pages, just use the default setting "Following Previous".

Here's an example:
