No option to make check boxes mandatory?

You are describing radio button behaviour. Drop a radio button on the form make it mandatory and change the appearance (on the Object palette) to be a sunken square.

Thanks, I figured that was the solution, just thought it was odd that check boxes were left out of the loop.
