LiveCycle Security Questions

Hi,

I have the following questions with regards to security on LiveCycle ES2 and would be grateful if someone can answer

1. Can Active Directory be used for Authentication and Authorization on a Windows Environment.  I think it can, but want it confirmed.

2. For forms that are are downloaded and filled online what is the security model that gets applied.  For example if I host the form on one of my sites how can I ensure that only users with the proper privilegeshave access to the form?

3. When designing and adding new forms to ES 2 what is the security mechanism applied?

Thanks

Arjuna.

I'm going to assume that publishing means to put the files in the repository in Workbench (ES) or into an application (ES2).

In that case you need to make sure the users have access to Workbench. You can give the users or groups specific roles so they have access to Workbench or not.

1. You can use Active Directory to authenticate the users.

2. You use LiveCycle Rights Management to do that.

3. Need more info here.  Where you add the forms where exactly?

Hi Jamine,

Thanks for the response, with regards to item 3 let me clarify.

When users are adding new forms what is the security model used.  For example can any user use LiveCycle Designer and upload new forms? (I assume not).  If this is not the case then is it like a group based approach, for example it is only a particular group of users who can upload (publish) new forms?

Thanks
