Forcing font smaller in input fields.

Hello. I would appreciate some help on how to force text smaller in certain fields where the input may be occasionally longer than the field size. Some forms I've seen force the text smaller until it fits the field. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks so much, in advance.

Hi,

In LC Designer if you select the textfield and in the Font palette set its font size to zero (0). The field also needs to be set to limit to visible area in the Object > Field palette.

Then in Acrobat, it will start out at 12 point and automatically reduce as more text is inputted.

See example on right of page 3: http://assure.ly/g80MVY

Hope that helps,

Niall

Thank you, this solved my problem.

I should note that in the font palette, I had to actually delete the font size and enter 0. If you simply change the font size to 0, it goes right back to the original font size. It had me scratching my head for a while so I thought it might help someone else.

Again, thanks for sharing that extremely helpful information with me!
