Dynamic text field

I am using Livecycle ES 2 & 4. Why does text field content not flow onto new page as required. Subform is set as flowable & allow page breaks within content, table is allow page breaks within content, rows are allow page breaks within content, Cell is expand to fit & allow multiple lines. If the data fills more than a page it flows over footer (which is outside of content area) & won't flow onto new page.

Hi Niccow,

Could you please try with selecting/checking the property "Allow Multiple Lines" of the text box?

Thanks,

VJ

I have already done this. I have ticked allow page break where-ever it is available on the subform, table & row but it is greyed out in the cell. How do I get access to this?

Thanks

Hi Niccow,

Thanks for sharing the PDF. Your form looks perfectly fine and works as expected i.e., the data flows to the second page without overflowing footer.

But one thing i observed is, when i try to load the PDF into the Designer ES2 and clicked on "PDF Preview" i got the following prompt message:

"Unrecognized namespace XFA 3.3, defaulting to XFA 3.0"

So, can we do this?

1) Open your form

2) Click on XML Source

3) Search for the text

<template xmlns="http://www.xfa.org/schema/xfa-template/3.3/">

and replace the strign 3.3 with 3.0 as follows:

<template xmlns="http://www.xfa.org/schema/xfa-template/3.0/">

and save the form.

4) Now test the behavior.

This is just to give a try.

If you still feel the problem exists, pls reply me.

Thanks,

VJ

Hi,

I did what you suggested but it still doesn’t flow over onto a new page. It works fine if you don’t fill a text field with a full page text, once you do more than a page of text in a cell that’s when the trouble starts

Hello,

Please share the XDP and data file.

Have you tried to enable "Repeat Subform for each Data Item" option under binding tab of subform? if not try that out.

Hi,

We have a signature field in this spread sheet & when you enable ‘Repeat subform for each data item’ the error message ‘the signature field can not be repeatable’ appears.
