Data patterns in paper forms barcode?

I have data patterns set for some fields but the patterns aren't being picked up when entered into the barcode. Anyone have any ideas? Is this possible or do I need to custom script?

Also, I have one field that is pulling the name of the subform it is in into the barcode as well, instead of just the field name.
