How much upload speed to you need to have to ensure a smooth video playback.
We also have a Multi Subscriber setup. So sometimes we want a user to be in the big cam. But then switc them to one of the samller subscribers (3 subscribers in all) This seems to cause the app to freeze.
Could it be a memory issue because of flushing out the webcam subscribers (setting them to NULL then adding userIDs)
Could it be bandwith?
is switching users between subscribers just a bad idea?
So, are you maintaining 3 subscribers, 1 big, 2 small, and just resetting
the publisherIDs on each when swapping around?
What SWC build are you on (184.108.40.206 is current)?
Im sure its not the latest. maybe 1 build ago. Would you suggest going with 10.1 or just 10.
Anyway to crack open the swc to find out?
Oh yes. all we are doing is swapping out the publisherIDs. I've been setting it to NULL first then resetting them with an ID.
Regarding the SWC version, you should be able to see it in your Flash Builder's Console (towards the top) when running your application.
I got this when running one of my applications:
Wed Mar 30 11:05:45 GMT-0700 2011 LCCS SDK Version : 220.127.116.11 Player Version : WIN 10,1,53,64
LCCS Quality Engineering
Video looks great. We are using the10.1 swc.
As for frezeing the app, is there anyway to know that the app has stalled on a cliens machine?
I'm guessing not but I have to ask.
Is there some kind of performace hit you take for turning cams off and on?
