Auto Expanding a textfield on mouse over to display text overflow in a table

Try to build a information request form for clients of a bookkeeping business, and want keep it to keep it to 1 page so once form is filled in I need the textbox to expand on mouse over to make reading easy and reduce to normal when cursor is removed.

The text fields are in a table. Here is an example on a web page http://www.cross-browser.com/toys/form_ta_autosize.html

Q1  Am I going about this the wrong way trying work out a way to do it in Javascript?

does any body know of a javascript example that I can work from?

Q2 Can this be done using subforms?

It seems to me that this would be a fairly useful attribute for a text field and am suprised there is not a tool in the object library

Thanks

I hope someone can point me in the right direction

You can put in the mouseEnter event of your text field:

this.minH="1in";//or whatever your default text field height is

and in your mouseExit:

this.h="1in";//or whatever your default text field height is
