Does Adobe include audit trails natively or do you need the server (ES) to accomplish this?  A clinic wants to put audit trails on a form to show what data has been changed and who changed it.  Is this function included in Acrobat?

i had to manually program it in. Would be interesting to find out if that option does  indeed exist....

You can audit certain actions taken on a document if it has had a policy applied to it using LiveCycle Rights Management ES where auditing was enabled (auditing is a property of a policy).  The audit information will not be as specific as you asked, for example, if a value is changed, it will not tell you what it was changed from or to.

Acrobat or Reader does not have any auditing capability.
