attaching files to pdf

Hey everyone,

I'm very new to LiveCycle and creating PDFs in general.  How can I allow my users to attach files to the PDF? I would appreciate any guidance, but especially explicitness.

Thanks so much!

Hi,

If your users have the free Adobe Reader, then they will only be able to attach files to the form if the form is first Reader Enabled using the full server component LCD Reader Extensions ES2.5.

See here: http://assure.ly/etkFNU.

If all your users have Acrobat then they will be able to attach files to the form.

Have a look at an example here that demonstrates PDFs attached to a form or stored online: http://assure.ly/vRyoeQ.

If you do a search on this forum, there are more examples for allowing the user to attach files to the form, but note the restrictions for users with Reader.

Good luck,

Niall

Niall,

Since some of my users will only have Adobe Reader, I will need to make the form Reader Enabled.  Some other issues have come up that I need to address first but I think this will point me in the right direction.

Thanks!
