I'm tearing my hair out with this one. Have checked all the fields to confirm if I had set the Type as User Entered - Required. Can't find any such field. Any help would be appreciated. Is there an email id where I can send the form?

Hi,

In addition, check to see if you have set radio buttons to mandatory. Depending on the version of Acrobat/Reader that the user has, radio buttons may NOT appear a manditory/required.

See post and screenshot here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2095512#2095512

This means that the user does not see the radio buttons as manditory, and if they don't click the radio buttons the validation will fail.

Hope that helps,

Niall

Hi,

In your script when you make an object visible, you also make it mandatory. No problem there!

However the script that hides the object goes through this sequence:

  1. hide the object, THEN
  2. make it optional/not mandatory.

This is where the problem lies.

You FIRST need to make the object optional/not mandatory AND THEN hide the object. It should just be a simple case of work through the various scripts and having the mandatory line before the presence line.

There is an example here: http://assure.ly/hxHupW.

Hope that helps,

Niall

Hi,

I found a strange problem in your form. When you click the submit button after filling the required values it clears the Master's Last name field. I dont know why? Probably this is one of the reason for the error, Can you cross check it ?

Thanks,

Bibhu.

I am having this same problem and I have tried all of the above recommended solutions with no success.  Do you think you could take a look at the form?

Are you filling these forms out in Reader or Acrobat? And are you also filling them out in the browser in LiveCycle Workspace?

Hi, thanks for your response!  I am filling out the form testing it in the LiveCycle PDF Preview pane.  The form has various choices with fields changing from required to disabled for difference reasons.  Everything works except one "path".

I suggest you log a case with enterprise support (entrsupp@adobe.com), so the issue can be triaged with your form. There was a bug in Acrobat I recall, where if you attempted to submit and focus was currently in the last field on the page, you would be prompted with that message even though there is data in the field, but the data hasn't yet been commited. Issue was not seen with Reader.
