Please Help with Subform Page Breaks!!!!!!!

I'm about to go out of my mind! I am setting up a form with a header and a few radio buttons. I created a large complicated subform in another file and when I attempt to paste it into to the current form it will only place itself atop the header and other content I have there. It's a large subform that takes up an entire page. When I try to set the subform properties in the layer object pallette all of my "allow page break" and pagination options are grayed out!!! Why is it doing that? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks
