How to install bare minimal PDFG

We're currently using Acrobat Distiller 6.0 (running on Solaris) to distill ps and eps files to pdf.

There doesn't seem to be an upgrade path for Acrobat Distiller 6.0. It looks like changing to PDFG 7.0 is the only way to go if we need a ver 7.0 distilling engine.

I've gone thru the docs for PDFG 7.0 and the installation mentions the need to install app servers and databases, which are really overkill for what we do here (I just want to use the drop folders thru Unix command line file copy commands).

Is there a possibility to install PDFG for PS without having to install the app server and db ?

Thanks,

Mike

No it's not. But you can use the turnkey install and have the installer install and configure a copy of JBoss and MySQL. That's the simplest solution.
