Fixing Text Fields

I am designing forms using Adobe Lifecycle Designer 7.0. I want to lock the text fields so applicants can only use the space in the fields that you see on the page when applying online (what space you see is all what you get). However this is not the case, I have limited the characters however you can still use as many lines as you wish as long as the character limit hasnt been reached.

I need to lock the text fields so that the applicants can only use the space provided in the text fields and no more. How can I make this happen.

When you're in Design mode,

Click on the field,

OBJECT tab -->

FIELD tab -->

Check the 'Limit Length to Visible Area' checkbox

I think that's what that square does

Chris,

I have exactly the same problem and when I saw the solution I wondered why I hadn't spotted it myself.

However, when I went into Designer (version 7.1) I could not see a 'Limit Length to Visible Area' checkbox as mentioned above.

Is the checkbox available in a later version?

Regards,

John

Thanks Chris, however i dont think that this is available in Designer 7.0. Is there another option available in this version?
