Expanding multiple fields together

In my form, I have four Text Field boxes laid out next to each other, across the page, each with a solid border to separate them. They are setup when the user enters their text, the boxes automatically expand downwards. However, I'm unable to figure out how to get the boxes to expand together visually (whether another box has data in it or not). Right now, if only one box has more info than the other, the box heights are up and down the page - not keeping visually neat "rows". I'm at a loss as to what else I should try!
