Is there any idea of the cost of the Adobe Reader 7.0 Extension software ?

Price on application, according to your volumes. But remember, that

the alternative is to buy Acrobat for everyone. Adobe don't want to

lose that money, so Reader Extensions is priced to offset hundreds or

thousands of copies of Acrobat.

Hi!



Our company got this application about 6 months ago. It starts around US$60K for an internal license, if I still remember right, that is up to 300 users and unlimited number of forms. There is an alternative licence where you pay less initially (something like $20K,) and a certain amount for each form used. Then the minimum number of licenses you have to buy is 500. Finally you end up at something like $60K anyhow. Still we havn't considered the maintenance fee. :-(



It is total madness. If Adobe wants their PDF forms to be the number one choice for data capture, they would have to reconsider their pricing strategy.



...and taking care of the form developers....

Maybe they don't. Maybe they want it to be the number one for revenue.
