Not every field & field group needed in data ingestion

Question

I created the schema with 5 field groups and one field in only required. However in a specific batch ingestion I have only data for one field group and required field.

May I upload only JSON with data for field group which I have the data for?

Or should I include other empty field groups in my JSON with empty data while ingesting?

Where is this specified in documentation? Unfortunately error troubleshooting does not work at all.....

Hi @michael_soprano

You need to only include the fields for which you have values as the ingestion does not accept null or empty values. This is mentioned on this page in the documentation - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-platform/xdm/ui/fields/required.html?lang=en
