Is It Possible to Copy Adobe Analytics Report Suite Data to a New Instance?

Avatar

ABC Company is planning a demerger, and the new entity (XYZ) will have its own domain and a separate instance to create tags and implement tracking similar to ABC (an exact replica). We’d like to know if it’s possible to migrate or copy the historical Adobe Analytics report suite data from ABC to XYZ. If yes, what are the possible methods to achieve this?

@EdwinSusaiamul yes it is possible to replicate Adobe Analytics Report Suite data across IMS Orgs (ABC to XYZ organizations). You need to reach out to Adobe Support with your ask, and most likely get on a call. Adobe does this on the backend for replicating the ReportSuite across IMS Orgs, if you only need a subset of filtered data from the ReportSuite that too is possible there could be additional cost associated to it.

Hi @EdwinSusaiamul ,

As you @Devyendar mentioned you can ask Adobe Support to help you remap your report suite (with all it's settings and data) from ABC to XYZ given that,

- Both of these orgs belong to the same billing client with Adobe

- Both of these orgs are on the same data processing center

You can check with Adobe support and they can confirm on above. If both of these conditions are met you can have your report suite moved to new org without any cost.

Cheers!

Thanks for the info! here both orgs are on different billing accounts. In that case, could you please suggest any possible workaround to replicate or reference the historical data from ABC for XYZ?

I'd recommend reaching out to Adobe Support as they may have options available which need minimum effort from your side but there might be a cost associated.

Cheers!
