FrameMaker Reference Pages TOC formatting

Avatar

Level 1

When tiles are used to generate TOCs the period (dot) that is included in the title creates inconsistent spacing when a dot leader tab is used. What is the Reference Page syntax to remove the period from the title? I currently am using:

<$paranum> <$paratext> ....................................................................................<$chapnum>-<$pagenum>

Thanks in Advance!

Hi @brucesanchez ,

If I understand your question correctly, you’re referring to an issue with Table of Contents (TOC) formatting and Reference Page syntax in Adobe FrameMaker, especially how periods in autonumbering affect spacing with dot leaders.

This doesn’t appear to be directly related to Adobe Experience Platform (AEP). AEP focuses on customer data, identity resolution, segmentation, activation, and real-time customer profiles—it doesn’t involve document formatting or TOC generation like FrameMaker does.

For more targeted help, I recommend posting this in the Adobe FrameMaker community, where experts on that tool can better support your issue.

If I misunderstood and this is somehow being used within AEP (e.g., document generation via external tools), feel free to provide more context—happy to help further!

Kind regards,

Parvesh

If The FrameMaker Community appeared in the list, I would.

Parvesh,

If the FrameMaker appeared in the list of communities, I would.

Thanks,
