AEP -> ACS Real-time push notifications

Hi there,

We have a new use case to look into enabling real-time push notifications from a streaming (pubsub) data source into AEP, and then the push notification is delivered via ACS (we are not on AJO). 

I found this article but it's 3 years old, I am wondering if there are new ways to accomplish this?
