Zip files in AEM

Avatar

Hello,

Is it advisable to upload In-Design zip files in AEM? We are currently debating if we should upload zip files and I think when it comes to our native files, (some teams don't upload the native files because of that) should also live in AEM and the best way is a zip files.

Could someone give me some insights on how your teams manages native files that might be needed for edits going forward? Thanks!

We have been using zip uploads for work in progress files, support documents that needs to go to distributors/external users.

We have restricted .exe by default but some files need to go as zipped and the approach is working fine for us.
