oak-run.jar - is it possible to use it for DataStore Garbage collection?

Hello,

as far as I understand, the oak-run is full CRX in the box, including DataStore.

Offline revisions purge, which are recommended to do every two weeks in AEM 6.2 uses it. I believe the same time, as last step, will good to do DataStore Garbage collection, but I need to start instance and wait for all the startup process, which is time consuming.

Is it any switch for oak-run to run the DSGC from command line?

I am using AEM 6.2SP1, TarMK with blobs stored outside TARs, in separated folder.

Thanks

No, you can't use Datastore GC using Oak-run tool.

Although you can use curl command to invoke the Datastore GC  from the Jmx mbean exposed from your command line. See (1)

Thanks a lot!

So I need to start instance, wait it for the full start and call the web interface. Well, it can be scripted, even in Windows.

Good idea!
