How can I add local AEM environment to IIS or accessible via the internet?

If I have a local AEM environment, setup according to this how-to article, https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-learn/cloud-service/local-development-env...

How can I deploy that environment to the internet? What security factors do I need to take into consideration if I successfully publish it on a subdomain or domain on the web?

To add a local AEM environment to IIS or make it accessible via the Internet, you can follow these steps:

  1. Install the AEM Publish instance on your local machine. You can do this by following the instructions in the Set up a Local AEM development environment: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-learn/foundation/development/set-up-a-loc... documentation.
  2. Once the AEM Publish instance is installed, you need to configure IIS to host the AEM application. You can do this by following the instructions in the Deploying AEM to IIS: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-65/deploying/deploying/application-server... documentation.
  3. Once IIS is configured, you can access the AEM application by opening a web browser and navigating to the URL that you specified in the IIS configuration.
