Creating a custom widget to save a JSON in assets metdata through metadata schema

Hi,

I am trying to create a widget which will store a JSON type of data in assest metadata just like a multifield stores in component. I followed this link Experiencing Adobe Experience Manager - Day CQ: AEM 62 - Add Multifield to Assets Metadata Schema E... but seems the resource type  is not working. Can anyone please point out how to achieve this.
