Drag and drop a folder to AEM DAM

Hi,

As per my knowledge, AEM DAM doesn't allow drag and drop of folders into DAM. But there are people who claim that it is possible with AEM vanilla instance but it never worked for me. My questions for this groups are-

1. Is it possible to drag and drop a folder to AEM DAM 6.5?

2. Was it ever supported in previous AEM versions?

AFAIK You can drag an drop a folder possible using AEM Desktop app not via direct UI.

The only other way is to run an asset import using excel sheets with path to asset / folder I guess.

No, it is not possible to drag and drop folder to AEM DAM. What is supported you can archive folder and drag and drop zip archive to AEM and unpack it automatically. To do this, you will have to modify DAM upload workflow adding Uanrchiver workflow step.
