Hi there,
Hope you all are doing well!
I have a query and require community support.
Can AEM assets be leveraged to create, store and manage branded asset templates? Branded templates could be a flyer/leaflet, newsletter, or social media post. Once an asset template is created, we want to give business users capability to leverage these branded templates to create their own assets something similar to what outfit.io provides (https://outfit.io/social-automation/instagram-templates & https://outfit.io/event-automation/event-invitation-templates ).
I came across following link https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-learn/assets/asset-templates/asset-templa... so looks like AEM assets do support branded templates but I am not sure if it can cover all the use cases [flyer/leaflet, newsletter, or social media post, PowerPoint and lecture/presentation templates, document templates (eg grant/awards submissions), webinars] and if business users can easily create their own assets and publish them.
So kindly let me know if all the above is possible and if there are any limitations?
Also would InDesign server be a separate license and if it works with both cloud and on-prem installation of AEM Assets?
Thank you.

AFAIK, AEM Asset can be used to store and manage asset templates, however to create templates you need InDesign.

You should be able to create any kind of collateral I believe, including flyers, leaflets however I'm not sure about PPT and document templates. Here's another video demonstrating how an author can use the asset templates to create digital & print ready collaterals: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-learn/assets/asset-templates/asset-templa...
I also suggest the Adobe doc which details more on Asset Templates: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-64/assets/administer/asset-templates.html...

Yes, InDesign would be a separate license. However, it's best to check with Adobe on this. I know clients with InDesign server on-prem, and should be available for Cloud too.
