Even if you change the image on your server, it is not necessary that the image on end users inbox is being server from your server side.
1. To begin with, Campaign stores the uploaded image as a MD5 file name. Hope the new image has been uploaded with the same MD5 name.
2. When you push images on email, the same can be cached by Gmail or even by cloud front. So if you change the image on your server, you will then have to clear the cloudfront cache on all possible mirror servers as well.
