Some users' opens are not captured even though they have clickthroughed

Hi community,

Observed that there may have scenarios where some users' opens are not captured even though they have clickthrough-ed. Logically, they would have to open the email before clicking the links.

One of the common possibilities is that they had disabled downloading of images in their mail clients, as such preventing the tracking pixel from capturing the opens. This causes a downside to having a lower open rates than expected.

Is there an available configuration to enable Adobe Campaign to automatically register opens as long as users perform an email click?

The opens will only get recorded if the open tracking pixel within the HTML gets download.

There is no automatic configuration to record the opens without user downloading the images.

This is a standard functionality across all email marketing providers including Adobe.

I believe that would be value-added for a email marketing software to be "smart" enough to recognise opens, just like how mobile app tracking for click-throughs is defined as well.
