ACS - Unsubscription Service

Hi,

I'm setting a unsubscription service in Adobe Campaign Standard. I have 2 different custom resources, one is extension of Profile schema (customers and newsletter subscribers) and one is a new resource (not customers but newsletter subscribers). The 2 schemes are independent.

I have to set the unsubscription service that must unsubscribe the profiles of both schemes.

First question: can I unsubscribe a profile that I have no subscribe to the service? I have tried but I didn't see in the subscription history my name with action "Unsubsciption".

Second question: I try to set the service but I can't modify the targeting dimension (in the landing page it is possible). The only permitted is Profiles. How can I manage the unsubscription in the second schema (new resource)?

I am not very clear on your first question, "can I unsubscribe a profile that I have no subscribe to the service?"

Kindly confirm are you saying that you wish to unsubscribe a profile who hasn't actually subscribed to a Service.

Regarding your second question, there is no direct way to update a Schema (apart from Profiles Schema) in terms of Unsubscription Services.

You could however define a Workflow which could run to update the Subscription status of recipients in other Schema depending upon status of the recipients in Profile Schema.

Some reference around Preference Center as well which allows end-users to unsubscribe from different marketing channels:

Hi eveline8​,

If a recipient hasn't subscribed to a service, there is no direct way to unsubscribe that profile/recipient from that specific subscription service.

You could however manually update the profile and add it to the list of 'Quarantines', or simply run a Workflow to add the profile to this section. This can be achieved by updating the 'Status' field of nms:address Schema, update any Recipient's Status to 'Quarantine'. But Quarantine would mean that email address won't be contactable for any subscription service going forward.
