Hi @ArthurLacroix, Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions today!
Can you please highlight as to how Adobe Campaign Managed Cloud Services differ from AC Classic Hosted?
Hi Nimashaj, hope you are having a good day! Great question, Managed Cloud Services includes new best-in-class services with proactive oversight and timely alerting. Thanks to more automation and better self-service tools you will be more agile. We have optimized our IT infrastructure to give you better performance. We will also have regular service reviews (monthly with Enterprise tier) and focus on continual service improvement.
Hi,
Are there any features available in V7 that will be obsolete in V8?
Is there any migration guide doc for this?
Thanks,
Deb
Hi! We are working on the migration strategy and tooling from v7 to v8. More to come soon!
Hi @ArthurLacroix,
Good to have you here in the Community Coffee Break!
One question we get asked a lot is what is new in Adobe Campaign v8? What are the benefits and enhancement of v8?
Anytime! Another great question, to me, this new major version brings significant infrastructure, security, deliverability, and monitoring enhancements. It dramatically improves scale and speed, with the ability to manage a more significant number of customer profiles (200M). I have seen queries performing up to 200x faster, multi-petabyte scale, increased number of messages per hour, with up to 20M/hour batch and 1M/hour for transactional messages. Last but not least, the enhanced connections to the Adobe Experience Platform. We support data connectors with Adobe Experience Platform/RT-CDP, unified Customer Profile, Journey Optimizer so you are able to unlock new use cases such as the ability to add individualized real-time customer journeys to campaigns. You will be able to run queries and launch cross-channel campaigns at a never-before-seen scale! Save time, and gain efficiencies to spend more time focusing on your customer and come more often to our coffee break
Thanks for your response!
And, what’s the pricing policy like for Adobe Campaign v8?
Always $$ questions
Hi @ArthurLacroix,
Does Adobe Campaign v8 solves the issue for running out of IDs?
Thanks in advance!
@ArthurLacroix - Also, does it have the same features and channels as Adobe Campaign Classic v7?
For now, some features are not available like Inbound interaction (planned for EO FY21), Distributed Marketing, Social channel, Surveys, Response Manager, MRM
Great question! ID 32 and attached SQL sequences in v7 are limited to around 2 billion unique values. In v8 it is now replaced by Universally Unique ID (UUID). UUID allows to break the limit of 2B+ unique ID. Please not that this ID is string based and not sequential. Examples: ID 32Bits: 1,035,605,523, UUID: e3eed855-9070-4fce-8e2f-846b7f3ed5f6.
Thanks a lot @ArthurLacroix for taking out the time to chat with us today! This was supremely helpful.
