Hi All,
As an adobe campaign operator, I should be able to create and edit a folder, but should not have access to folder restrictions tab, where I can convert the folder to a view or add or remove folder restrictions.
I am looking for a solution in V8 instance, so that the user experience will be same in both console and WebUI.

Hi Sankar,
Navigate to the required folder
(for example: Campaign Management, Deliveries, Workflows, etc.)
Right-click the folder (or open folder properties)
Select Properties
Open the Restrictions tab
This Restrictions tab is where you can:
Convert a folder into a View
Add or remove folder restrictions
Control visibility and access rules for the folder
Only users who have the required Named Rights can access this tab like Administration or View management
If a user does not have these rights:
The Restrictions tab is hidden
Folder can still be created and edited
Conversion to View is not possible
This applies equally to:
Client Console
WebUI (v8)

Hope this helps
Thanks,
Bala
Hi @Balaji_V ,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I’d like to clarify a small point.
Only users with 'folderEdit' named rights can access the Restrictions tab, and these rights are also required to create or rename folders. As an admin, I won’t be able to restrict users who can create folders if they don’t have 'folderEdit' named rights.
Thanks
Sankar

Hi Sankar,
Only users with the folderEdit named right can Create / Rename / Access the Restrictions tab / Convert a folder into a View / Add or remove folder restrictions.
As an admin, you cannot allow users to create or rename folders without also giving them access to the Restrictions tab.
May be this below link help;
Thanks,
Bala

Hi Sankar,
In Adobe Campaign Classic, the permission required to create folders also enables the “Convert to View” option. These actions cannot be separated, so it is not possible to allow folder creation while disabling view conversion.
and i think there is no separate permission to disable “Convert to View” while still allowing folder creation.
Thanks,
Bala
