AC FDA Connection to SAP Hana DB

Avatar

Level 1

Hi,

My requirement: New FDA connection for SAP Hana DB.

For the installation of ODBC driver: I need - hdb_client_linux.tgz (for Linux)

Where will I get this file? If I need to install SAP Hana Express Edition ?

Please let me know if anyone has already implemented this.

Thanks!

Shilpa

Hello @ShilpaD ,

Yes, As per the documentation you will need the SAP HANA Express Edition.

Here are the documentation links on how to download and install the ODBC drive in Linux and then what all configurations are required on Adobe side.

ODBC Driver installation: https://developers.sap.com/tutorials/hxe-ua-install-hdb-client-linux.html

Adobe Configuration: https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/campaign-classic/using/getting-started/accessing-external-dat...

Let me know if that helps.

Hello @ShilpaD

Not implemented this but please refer the below instructions for downloading and installing the client file. This should help.

http://www.kodyaz.com/sap-abap/install-sap-hana-database-client-software-components.aspx

When you register for SAP Hana Express Edition download, the download manager is started for downloading required tools.
You can run the download manager on clients that require to connect SAP HANA server or once download the clients.zip which includes the package which you are looking for ie. hdb_client_linux.tgz
SAP HANA 2.0 Express Edition downloads includes Clients which contains 4 compressed client packages.
