Publishing Segment from Analytics to Audience Manager

Hey guys, can someone tell me connection between analytics and the audience manager by publishing/sharing segments from analytics to the audience manager?

The lookback period in analytics by publishing segments is maximum 120 days. I have shared this segment from Analytics to the Audience Manager. Now i can see this segment in the audience manager. But in the audience manager i can also see, the experation is automatically set for 16 days, but why? I want to collect as many users as possible, this is why i set the lookback period to 120 in Adobe Analytics, so i thought this segment includes user from the last 120 days. but how should this work, if it expires after 16 days in the audience manager?

Thank you

Hi there,

If you have selected the look back period of 120 days, then that means the AA historical data will be shared with AAM.

So, AA will send this batch data to AAM and AAM's trait and segment will receive it.

AA will share this full data to AAM on daily basis until the publish option is checked. So, in actuality if a visitor falls into AA segment on day 1 and never comes again, then that visitor will retain in the AAM trait for 120 days + 16 days as AAM trait will get refreshed daily.

Thanks,
