Ok, here's what I'm thinking: Totally i would have 1 Unique Visitor and 4 Visits. But if I now add the hit segment in reporting (page = content marketing), I should only see row 2 and 4. That would be 2 visits for me. Is that what you mean? It is not clear to me whether my segment only filters out visits that relate to the segment. Which in this case would be 2 visits for the segment.Thank you very much for your help.

i think, what irritates me completely, is that i am thinking my created segment is the data base in this case which filters the data which i want to view. So in my thoughts just that data of my segment is included. So where does the other visits come from, which are not part of my created hit segment?

so the metric defines the scope level? this would be new for me. because then i do not understand, why i am using a hit segment, if the metric defines the scope level. So the hit- segment defines, that i just want to take look at specific hits and with the unique visitors metric i tell adobe, tell me all of this unique visitor, who has met the criteria of the hit segment?

Hey, thank you for your feedback! What irritates me, is the fact that the "Days since last visit"-Segements are hit-based in this visualization. So i do not get, how Adobe can look to the visit, if these segments for "Days since last visit" are hit-based.

Hey all, a short question of the functionality of Adobe Analytics related to "days since last visit: I have created a (hit) segment, where users are just covered by the segment, if they have visit pages of our content hubs on the website. With that i just want to track users of the content hubs. Now i want to use "days since last visit". But what is this saying to me? If i now use this segment to show "days since last visit", what does this mean? How many days have passed until the users met the...

EDIT: I do not have seen the option to include this segment also to the return criteria. This option should solve my question and should be the answer for the first case, i have described 😉 Hello everyone, I have a maybe tricky question about the Retention Model in Adobe Analytics: I have set the Retention Model so that the monthly retention is displayed based on the visits. For the retention model, I use a hit-segment that only tracks users of selected pages on our website (users who have visit...

Hello everybody, we want to classify users on the basis of an online survey and us this data to create segments in Adobe. Does Adobe offer the possibility to implement results from its own online surveys? We would like to obtain knowledge based on an online survey and from this data of the only survey we then want to create segments in Adobe in order to classify the users. Does anyone have any experience or helpful tips, how to get this data to Adobe, which tools we have to use? We have a servic...

Hi guys, we have a campaign (so called Content Hub) on our website, so we have created a hit segment just to track visitors, who were part of this content hub on our website and not the whole website. So what i want to do is to show the return visits/visitors and the first time visits/visitors just for that Content Hub. How can i do this? Because the standard segments in analytics won't bring the right result. As you can see on the right site in the picture, we have 643 Unique Visitors for that ...

Hey guys, can someone help me to understand the discrepancy as shown on the screenshot? We are tracking a content marketing campaign (this is the "IQ" segment at the top). To measure only traffic for that specific campaign, this segment is build as a hit segment. On the screenshot you can see the unique visitors and the visits for this campaign. This numbers seems fine to me. But now the problem, if you take a look at the histogram data (i want to use the histogram to see, how many visits the us...

Hey Adobe, Forecasting would be a great feature!;) Would be nice, if there will be any possibility in future in Adobe Analytics to predict values. Actually i am comparing the page views from this month to last month. But because of the fact, this month is not already finished, i would like to predict values for upcoming Dates based on the Dates e.g. of the actual month. Is anything like this possible in Adobe Analytics? My idea is to Show it directly in the visualization in another Colour. Or it...

Hey Andrey, thank you! But how can i identify these users, who just qualified for this segment from the domain "www.handelsblatt.com"? Because as i thought that should be the meaning of my AAM Segment. Or is it the people, which i can see in the breakdown with the domain "www.handelsblatt.com", who just qualified for this segment with this domain? Or is it not possible, to identify my AAM Segment in Adobe Analytics?

Now, what suprises me, if i put this segment into Adobe Analytics and make a breakdown with domain (c3), how is it possible, that this breakdown includes all the others dimensions and not only the domain of the trait "www.handelsblatt.com"? @ericmatosoff, thx i got it! 🙂 just one thing that you described the following way. You said: What's important is the visitor was not seen during that timeframe, if he deletes his Cookies. So the process that a user will be seen is Cookie matching? What i mean: He deletes his Cookies and in the timeframe after he deletes his Cookies, he will be not part of the Segment, because Analytics Can not find this user. Is the technical reason Cookie matching, so is there a realtime or daily check? becau...

Ok, thank you. But are these two facts correct: 1.: Analytics stores all information in a database so this is the reason why i can see that the user was part of a segment before deleting his cookies. 2.: analytics considers me in the segment as long as this ECID (and so my cookie) is valid, i.e. until it expires or until I delete my cookies and thus also the ECID i am not anymore part of this segment?

Ok, so just to be on the right track: A User qualified himself for a segment by reading article XY or by making a purchase and a cookie is set. The ECID is part of that cookie, which stores the information, in which segment the user is located. Now after 1 week he deletes his cookies. So what is confusing me now: once he qualified for the segment, he is part of it, he don't have to qualify again and again, so why deleting cookies results in the fact, that Analytics recognize that this user is no...
