Why do the quick calculation options disappear with no description as to why?

Level 2

I'm trying to create a simple quick calculation based on the metrics in the freeform table which works fine on a table on another workspace but not my current workspace.

Steps:

1. Dimension = Segment I created for Tracking Code (v1 starts with search)

2. Visits as metric 1

3. Visits with "Last Month" time segment on top

4. Click Visits then cntr+click Visit with "Last Month"

5. Right click on of the highlighted metrics

6. No ability to create a quick metric

Go to another workspace.... do the same steps and I get the calculated popup.

Instead of removing the Create a Metric from the menu, just leave it and indicate why it isn't working.

Anyone have ideas?

1. Closed Adobe and reopened -- didn't work

2. Logged out and logged back in -- didn't work

3. Closed project and reopened -- didn't work

For some inexplicable reason, if you have segments or date ranges as your breakdown the "create a metric from selection" disappears, even though if completely works....

My workaround is just to create a duplicate table, replace my breakdown with some standard dimension like Day or Month.. create my metric, then drag it from the copied table into my actual table, then delete the copy table...

We really shouldn't have to do that... but that's the way it seems to be....

I guess I am just used to this process that I do it without really complaining much.. I probably should... building my reports would be quicker if I could just do those calculated metrics directly.
