1 day = 24 hours.

Marketing Channel: the value will expire in 24 hours after the Visitor's last hit

eVar: the value will expire in 24 hours after it was captured

Hi,

The first time a user reaches your site, a cookie (labeled s_vi) receives an assigned value containing a unique visitor ID.

e.g.

[CS]v1|2EB8DA6D850799A0-40000120C0004BD9[CE] - Visitor ID

2021-09-05T12:40:44.789Z - Expiration

This unique visitor ID gets set on each hit by the user. When you set expiration in an eVar, it collects data till the expiration time ends.

82117115115328710410product pagecar
82117115115328710410cartcar
Visit ends
Next day (Before eVar Expiration)
82117115115328710410cartcar
eVar1 expiration time ends
Next day (After eVar Expiration)

Once a expiration time ends, values stop being copied in the post_evar column.

Thanks!
