VDSID High/Low Concatenation vs Out of The Box adobemarketingID

Hi All, 

 

We are using clickstream in some of our reporting.


We've set up our identifier within clickstream as suggested by Adobe - using  "VDSID HIGH - VDSID LOW" concatenation.
We've also started passing the adobemarketingID value that is passed out of the box into an evar.


Those two values (VDS_ID High & Low vs, the evar) do not match - why wouldn't they be the same thing?

visid_high and visid_low values are retrieved from svi cookies while ECID value (mcvisid_high/low) are derived from AMCV cookies. It would make more sense to compare the post_visid_high/low values to compare the data when using ECID values.

@cassandrag19268 Can you please check mcvisid column in data feed and compare with the stored value in evar ?
